I know this article's old now, but i haven't had much time for this kinda stuff, and I'm catching up tonight.

As a big fan of fighting games, it's good to see two of their top ladies represented in very well sculpted, if not well manufactured, figures.

Still, I think I'd rather go for the X-rated Mai statue you linked to.

Big kudos to you, Wes, for posing the girls to mirror their sprite images. I've never seen that done before, and I assume it was a bit nerve-wracking due to the general fragility of the figures. Esp. cool: the lightning kick(s)!

Well, no harm was intended -- and it doesn't look like there are any allegations of intentional racism, so I wouldn't say that the lady is making a mountain out of the issue -- but I can understand why someone wouldn't want a license that read "NGR"! And seeing as how the license plates are state-issued and all, it's probably best that the state does pull them and refrain from using those letters in that arrangement.

Anyway, the AK DFA gets a gold star from me for the quick and accommodating response -- almost any other organization would have argued over the point until Al Sharpton showed up with a bullhorn.

Hey Wes. This is totally off topic, but I saw this article in the local paper and wondered what you think of it. To me it's one lady making a mountain out of a mole hill, but who knows.

Ha! I think the emm was definitely right to oppose that episode, Mick. But think -- if she'd seen the bit about Sarah Jane in the hospital, she could have responded by saying, "She died so... slim!"

I threatened the emm with Turn Left tonight, not because I didn't enjoy it, but because I knew it would elicit a strong reaction from her! =)
