And seeing as how the license plates are state-issued and all, it's probably best that the state does pull them and refrain from using those letters in that arrangement. Anyway, the AK DFA gets a gold star from me for the quick and accommodating response -- almost any other organization would have argued over the point until Al Sharpton showed up with a bullhorn.
