The Donatello Christmas Tradition!

So, the holiday season is upon us — and despite Scary-Crayon’s rather dark inclinations the whole year ’round, we do try to post a few festive pieces for the benefit of our readers. For example, today’s article, The Donatello Christmas Tradition, touches on something we like to do during the holiday season. Now, it’s not much, and I certainly don’t post it in order to flout my charitable nature (hah!), but ’tis the season for sharing — and that’s basically the function of the piece. That is, to share something that’s important to me with the lot of y’all. Don’t you feel special? 🙂

Also, A Crayon Haiku #38 is up! Everybody say haaaaiiii-ku! Alrighty then.

And one final note — despite having been posted roughly five months ago, discussion continues over my snarling invective against the Harry Potter series, so if the issue at all interests you, feel free to jump in! I’ve definitely got some things I’d like to contribute, but I do want to have more holiday content here for you before December 25th rolls around. 🙂

Happy holidays, minna-san. See you next time!

Yayyy. Long live The Donatello Christmas Tradition! I think Donatello was my first turtle too. I miss my Undercover Don toy 🙁

My friend gave me something he found for christmas. It was a Donatello, it’s fat and sits there. I’m thinking it’s old. I need a camera (also to take pictures of my haircut) and you need to wash your cups.

Is it a large plush toy? I once spotted a fat bootleg Donatello plush in NYC’s Chinatown — I wonder if that’s what you’re talking about.

And yeah, Undercover Don was a great figure. Of that line, though, I’ve always been partial to Sewer Surfin’ Mike. While his theme was less unusual than the others, given that Mike’s already kind of a surfer dude, those tiny sharks on his shoulder and sticking out of his elbowpad were the cutest things ever.

  • I think the Donatello idea if in-freaking-sanely genius, and shows, that underneath your trenchcoat wearing exterior exisits a heart of gold, or a bo staff.

Okay, I was able to take pictures

There’s six of them so just change the 1 to 2, 3, etc. (Six has my hand in the picture so you can more or less see how small/big Donatello is). It’s not a plush, that’s for sure. It’s like a hard sponge material.

Also, if you’re curious as to how my haircut turned out: http://img.photobucket.com/alb...../joshh.jpg

That’s a great tradition, Wes! And by the way, your Best Friend Colton description made me laugh/shake like a complete freak at work (not that anyone ever accused me of being normal, but…), it’s hilarious! 🙂
